About Ron Hottes, PresidentBackground / ExperienceRon is a licensed California Broker with 45 years of business experience and 30 years of experience buying and selling businesses. He is a CBI (Certified Business Intermediary), a CBB (Certified Business Broker), a member of CABB (California Association of Business Brokers) and a member of IBBA (International Business Brokers Association). He is a certified instructor for both CABB and IBBA. He has served on the boards of several companies and several associations, most recently as president of the California Association of Business Brokers.His education consists of a Masters of Business Administration and a Bachelor in both Business Administration and Mechanical Engineering. Before becoming a business broker he worked his way up through research engineering, design engineering, engineering management, manufacturing management and ended up as a company president. He has a total of 27 years of experience as a company president - Art's-Way Manufacturing Company a $20 million manufacturer of specialty harvesting machines and animal feed processors; White-New Idea Farm Equipment Company a $250 million manufacturer of farm tractors and farm equipment; and most recently Business Team Los Angeles, one of the largest business brokerages in the country. Ron has personally put together deals as small as $18,000 and as large as $125,000,000. Being an engineer by training Ron knows how to creatively engineer deals so they are a win-win situation for both parties.
